1979 21' rear kitchen

  • Dodge 440 with 50,000 miles

  • Last licensed August 2003

  • Engine work in 2001

  • VIN F34KD9V711383

  • No dents, but some surface rust

  • Ideal for hobby restoration

This was my dad's beloved Clipper. He lived near Phoenix, and this rig stayed in arid Arizona virtually its entire life until 2001. Dad passed away, and my sister took possession. She had routine maintenance and engine work done on it (and kept the repair records), but because of her health concerns she parked it in 2003 at her Whidbey Island, Wash., home and hasn't used it since. This Clipper was my dad's pride and joy, but now it needs some serious cleaning and detailing. No dents or dings (it's never been in an accident), but there's surface rust forming on the sheet metal and bumper. The interior is original -- no new upholstery. The stove, fridge, and plumbing work, but not the AC. The toilet could use a new seal.

This RV is ideal for someone who wants to get a "newer" (1979) Clipper in running condition for a reasonable price. It's perfect for a weekend mechanic or someone who likes restoring classic vehicles. Check it out if you go to the Mt. Hood rally -- we're just northwest of Seattle.
