Does anyone know if I can still buy a turn signal / hazard combo switch
for my '75 Dodge clipper?    /w or w/o cruise control ( its broken anyway )

THe DPDT hazard switch part of it is broken inside and my brake lights
don't get power.    I jumperd across the back of it and they work.

I guess I could rig up a switch and clamp it to the column - but it would look like junk.

I wonder if I just soldered a jumper across the back of the switch poles
for that section.....   I didn't try it.    I think then my brake lights would
Blink.

It is late.

Is there some trick to pulling the guage cluster forward?    I tried to reach
my hand up under it for loosend the speedo cable but could not.
( this was before I gave up on trying to access the brake light switch
for trouble shooting )

Thanks.

I used a generic replacement for the turn signal cam found at my local auto parts store. Seems there are only two different types that I saw (in the generic category). You can have the parts guy look it up and he can tell you which one will work.

Replacement was very easy. A steering wheel puller makes it even easier.

So that "HELP" parts line red blister pack one works?    The
FORD CHYRSLER one..........?

Did all the springs pop out when you lifted it off that
rounded edge rectangular tab thing?

Yep, it was the HELP generic one. The instructions were OK, but had to fiddle with it a bit. Had to trim the contacts on each side. I just measured the old ones and trimmed accordingly.

No springs popped out. They are all connected. I usually take pictures of everything like this, but was feeling lazy :(

I tried to use a regular switch to replace the Hazard switch.    I couldn't figure any way to wire it and make it work.
Oh well.   I don't have Hazard lights any more.   Snip Snip.
