I am looking for an idler pulley and bracket to replace the A/C compressor on the 440 in my Clipper (78 chassis)  Has anyone found one that is a straight bolt on?

If so, a brand and part number would be greatly appreciated.

Shayne- There are several articles on idler pulley installation in back news letters under-Fan Belt Idler Pulley in the index. Read articles 29-6 , 31-6 , 31-17 , 46-14 , and 50-15. I don't know if these entries address what you want to do . But the info should be helpful. There is a club member that could most likely advise you if there is indeed a bolt on part that would work. Try les & Terri Mika a.c.o.c. #2813.they have years of experience with Mopar Parts. Bob Chaney #2626

Thanks for the help there Bob, but those articles refer to adding a pulley in addition to the A/C unit.  I'm looking to REPLACE my compressor with a pulley. The compressor has problems and where I live I don't need A/C anyway.

I would be interested in any resource you all find on A/C compressor elimination.  I have a 76 dodge 360 2bbl and have never had the A/C restored to normal.  Not much need for it here as well
