Replacement Toilet

Hi All,

I need to replace my toilet (nothing's is wrong with it but my wife asked me how much a new one cost.) Translation. Change that ugly toilet.

I talked to Tetford about a replacement and they said most likely I had a Galaxy. Mine has a bolt under the foot pedal and one in the rear.

The Rep that I talked to said that the model with the same bolt pattern was the Bravura. The Bravura has only one pedal; however, I like two pedals given that you can fill the bowl without flushing it.

Has anyone replace his/her toilet and change the bolt pattern in the process. When I replace the carpet in my Clipper, I had to remove the toilet but didn't examine it closely (if you know what I mean). Do you have to make major changes to use a toilet with another bolt pattern?

Bottom line, I ain't removing the black tank to get the toilet I want. I'd just go with the Bravura with one pedal. I don't spend that much time in the bathroom.

Let me know!

just so happens I have a brand new bravurd high profile parchment color in the factory box I paid $160 for it plus deliver give me a $100 and ups and Ill mail it tomarrow :D ps all you have to do is remove the screws that hold the flange down then  work the toilet base a little and it comes off then all you have to do put a little coaking on it and put it back down :D  :D  :D

Replaced ours with a Thetford from Camping World, about $130. The flange looks pretty much the same as the ones in the house. The above deal sounds like the way to go!

Down boy, he asked me first. Anyway, shipping to Texas is more feasible than shipping to Florida. With those hurricanes, you'd have to insure it.

Florida..what am I saying. Jim, Andy is not even at home. He's in New York.

MAN, I tell ya. Dog On Floridians!

Yeah, I'm still in Noo Yawhk... but I'm a-fixin' to head back to whatever's left of Home Sweet Home this weekend.  Ummm... can Clips be fitted with pontoons?  Sails??  Then it'd REALLY be an "American Clipper", huh?  (Fla version, of course)

Ray, I'd never, EVER even THINK of depriving a Texan of a decent, working potty.   Despite your claim about not spending much time in there - and blaming your wife for your interest (yeah, yeah, yeah... sure... uh huh [wink, wink]).... all y'all's so full of "it", you NEED one!!!!

Besides, he has other stuff I'm interested in too.
