I want to buy a 21 ft. American Clipper - price in the $6,000 range.  Also want to know what a fair price for a '79 21 footer would be in central California - saw one that looked pretty good, but do not know how to determine what it is actually worth!  You can reply also to westwindwood@sti.net      Thank you!

hi we have a 1978 for sale about 6k on rebuild.....nice motorhome but were having problems smogging it..it's at shop now and passed their smog  yesterday but at test only station it failed this morning..so now its up for sale as is......$2500.00 firm new battery, has awning,cd player, rear bath, side kitchen, party model, roof air, dash air inop,4 newer tires, spare parts, manual, club letters till about 6 yrs ago, stainless wheel covers...i think the worst case would be a new carb, maybe a new intake manifold, it has a holly, new with the engine rebuild and i just had it gone thru twice and complete tuneup trying to smog the darn thing..it's a shame since it runs just great, moves right along, has stainless headers and i believe rv cam?? anyway if ur still looking or know someone who does this is a great deal on a great looking motorhome, you get it to pass smog and it,s got to be worth 4k at least....mike burwell 530-268-3380 auburn, ca mailto:westwindwood@sti.net">westwindwood@sti.net

I just purchased a 1977 440 Model, But I know someone who may also want one if the price is right. Is your rig still for sale? I am in Washington and the title exchange people didnt say a thing to me about emmision check on my 77 rig.  Maybe here that vintage of Motor Home isnt required to pass emissions. I dont know, but I didnt ask questions. Just got my paperwork done and fled before she said anything. Anyway, Im thinkin that up here in WA yours would be a great price ($2,500) if I didnt have to worry about the emission thing. I paid 4k for mine and feel I got a pretty fair deal. Let me know if your rig is still availiable.

On second thought I guess I should just email Mike Burwell directly about his Clipper thats for sale.  (very low tech guy here...takes me awhile)
