I've got a 1976 Dodge Clipper with the plastic 36 gal. tank and it seems to have a couple pinhole leaks along the side.  Anybody have any experience repairing...or is there some sort of generic steel tank that will replace it?  Help!

I had the same problem.   I cleaned the area.  I used some ABS cement/glue.  The same glue you use to glue the black pipe in some of the  old plumbing lines.  I applied several coats of the glue.  I have not had any leakage in the last year.
