This website's purpose is to share information with clipper owners and others who are interested in clippers or have old Dodge B300 chassis motorhomes.  In an attempt to share as much information as possible to as many people as possible PLEASE first post your questions in one of the forum boards rather than sending a PM to the webmaster or another member. This will allow other members to find information that may help solve their problem.  By PMing your questions, you decrease forum activity and create more work for active members who end up repeating information to individuals looking for the same information.  Thank you.

i know i should have sorted this out by now, but i'm forever more confused. rodney measured his dipstick for me, which turned out to be the same length as mine, but i'd like to know how far up the dipstick does it read 'full' and 'add more'. if i put 5 or 6 quarts of oil in, i read way above the full mark. thanks guys

Chrysler issued a technical service bulletin  no. 10-02-77 P-6332-C on 12/5/77 which addressed the dipstick issue.  The original part no. for 1977 and prior B200-300, CB300-400, MB300-400 with 400-440 engines was 4089656.  The new one was p/n 3821675.  Basically they re-calibrated the stick to the following dimensions:  33.12" from distal end to middle of collar that stops the stick from going further into the tube.  The full mark is then 30.12" from the middle of the collar.  The add mark is 1.06" further.  Just measure your stick and you'll see which one you have.  It is a simple matter to scribe new marks.   8)
