I have tired my 3 way fridge in ELEC, 12V.  nothing,
I tired to light it, but couldn't get it to work.  Just Propane smell.

Is this not good.

The propane test would be the certain one right?

It has no ammonia smell or green corrosion though.

Dude can you see if the sparker is working turn on the gas then go outside and open the frig door and hold a lighter to the flame tube if theres gas it has to light then check to make sure it's pluged in to the power box and you have power to the box

I got a long lighter today to try it.........didn't have a helper either.....

Dave -- On my fridge, the only thing that works on 12v is the igniter... not the fridge itself - if I'm understanding your issue correctly.  I can only use "electric" when I'm plugged in (no genny, remember?).  I run it on gas whenever I'm not plugged in or on the road.  Mine has a little orange light jobbie next to the igniter button inside that flashes each time the igniter sparks... stops when the burner lights.   You have onna those?  If the igniter's working, you should hear make a "snapping" noise every second or so until the burner lights.

If the burner lights (with the igniter or manually) but then goes out, you have a bad sensor.... that kinky little 1/16" tube that runs from above the pilot flame to the thermostat control.  Appliance parts places carry 'em.

Mine has a snap type ignitor, and it snaps mechanicly, but I don't know if it is sparking......there is like a view "hole" next to it......maybe a yellow
light thing was there.....at one time....

anyway the 4guage green wire that I think goes back to the fridge is
old and brittle and needs all replaced.....so probably no 12v getting back
to it..... it is plugged in to the live electric socket in the compartment
next to it........

Just doesn't seem to work at all...........

have not tired to light it with a long lighter yet.

Try the lighter first make sure it lights off and gets cold then worry about the sparker not much can go wrong with them
