Electric Waste Dump Valves

Hello Fellow ACOC diehards:
After crawling under my Clipper in the Northwest rain for the 60th time to pull the plug on the black water tank, I had just about enough of those original manual waste dump valves.
So a quick call to Camping World resulted in the arrival of two electric Drain Master valves.
Running the wires through the frame took about 20 minutes, and then an electric saw sliced through the old pipes fast enough.
The problem came when I tried to remove the tanks for cleaning...yikes!! 20 years of crud, rotted timbers, and general funky weird stuff caused a week delay, as I had to re-fabricate Clipper parts that fell off sometime between 1979 and 2003.
However, once the parts were ready, the thing went together nicely.  No more pulling, tugging, or crawling under the clipper.  Simply push the rocker switches in the main cab and shazaam! Flushed tanks.
 Total install time, 1 week.

vty, RYBKA

That sounds like the only way to go.  How much did these electric valves set you back? I never knew they existed, but glad they do. Look forward to your reply.

To "Proud" in Sacto,

Each valve cost about $90.00.  Remember to drain the tanks real good, cause you have to remove all the old pipe from the tanks for new stuff. But you really do not have to remove the tanks like I did.

Also, I had to visit my local RV shop for the pipe fittings particular to the valves that set me back about $10.00.

Lots-o-luck, RYBKA
