Air Dam.....

I have asked this before - but we have many new members now, and maybe some fresh insights.....

Does anyone have any experience with installing an "air dam" on their Clipper?

Where did you buy it?
How did it install?
(I can't see how/where it would bolt on without drilling  holes in the bumper or frame.)

Did you notice any improvement in engine cooling, handling, or mpg?

Thanks.

I got a part number from someplace (maybe from the older Journals) and manufacturer for a fiberglass airdam. I called them in So Cal (Torrance I believe) and they still had them. At one time JC Whitney stocked them. If I can find the info I will get it to you. You could also go to www.google.com and search for `automotive air dam' and similar phrases then contact those manufacturers. We live in Montana and often end up on back roads so our inclination is now making one out of something flexible because the fibreglass would probably get torn up. I had more of a sense of urgency until the cooling problem got resolved. supposedly they help with mileage by minimizing under body turbulence. Again a search on google might find you some documentation

If you do a "quote" search (putting "automotive air dam" in quotes as I have just done here - and use that on google - you get nada, nothing, zilch, skunked.....
:-(

If you find that manufacturer, please post it here - thanks

With quotes means you want all words inside the quotes to appear together and in that order. If you used the phrase
automotive "air Dam"
That would narrow the search some because it would only give you results where the words `air dam' occured together but want the word automotive to occur somewhere in the document.
With no quotes you get the broadest results
Hope you find it. I have looked and did not find where I wrote the phone number down but will continue to look.
