76 with a gas tank leak

Hi guys; I have a leak in the upper backside of the gas tank where the float and sending unit go into the tank. Does anyone have experience in fixing this kind of problem is there a gasket, o ring, can I use some kind of gas resistant sealer. My Dodge dealer had no info on a rig this old any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks Dan

Oh my leaky friend, YES THERE is a gasket!!!!!!!   and if you are lucky you can get it at your favorite auto parts store....
BUT, they wont have the sending unit.... alasssssssss  that animal is long long   gone..
But if ya really are handy with a utility knife you can make your own...

I had to drain mine and drop the tank..  all 30 gals in five gal plastic home depot buckets...With the help from my electric fuel pump... 1 hour and everything was back in and ready to go..
Good luck.....  OH YEA< bring in the old one to match it up with the new one...
