This website's purpose is to share information with clipper owners and others who are interested in clippers or have old Dodge B300 chassis motorhomes.  In an attempt to share as much information as possible to as many people as possible PLEASE first post your questions in one of the forum boards rather than sending a PM to the webmaster or another member. This will allow other members to find information that may help solve their problem.  By PMing your questions, you decrease forum activity and create more work for active members who end up repeating information to individuals looking for the same information.  Thank you.

Any information on installing a computer system in the motorhome?  Where, how, power needed, phone connection?

Shayne

Usually I take my laptop with me in the Clipper... this doesn't require much space or power.. but if you're talking about a standard desktop type PC.. then you just need the space... power isn't really a big deal.. 500W even if you have a big monitor.  Might be a little much to run off of battery, but if you have AC hookups or a decent generator, no problem. If you go generator, make sure it's putting out true sine wave. Some inexpensive generators put out a squarewave.. can be hard on equipment.

TIP:  The new flat panel displays are VERY efficient as far as power usage AND they are much smaller AND you can get them with built in TV tuner so they can serve a dual purpose.  As soon as I have an extra $500.. I'll be getting a 17 inch flat panel with TV tuner.

If you have more specific questions, let me know..
