Any idea where i can buy the rubber insulation that goes on the outside of the front sleeper window?
What exactly am i looking for? Mine has original gray that is old and pulling away on the rounded corners.

mel guerrera who is the supply officer for the ACOC has the rubber. You need to belong to the national organization if you are not already and then you can order the parts you need. Caninecaravan 1978 side kitchen, 440

I checked the members list and I do not find a Mel Guerrea.
Again does anyone know anything about replacing the rubber around the front sleeper window?
Has anyone purchased and replaced this on their American Clipper?

Horst

Many people have replaced this - if it's really coming out everywhere - then that's your only option.
But if it's just a matter of corner "shrinkage" - then you can fill in the gaps with a high quality silicon  that's what I did - no leaks thus far.

What is your ACOC national number? I don't find you on our list. We are the national chairpersons for the organization. You cannot buy the parts you need from the group without belonging. Please submit an applicatiion and a check for $30. to ACOC c/o Larry Friedman, 2853 Smoke Tree Circle, stockton, California 95209 if you have not already done so. Mel Guerrera is on the list but you need to submit an order form to Willette Mealoy and she will only authorize the sale of parts once she has your ACOC number. caninecaravan

Thanks Horst. Yes i have done the same but was hoping to actually find and install new rubber around the window on top. I have been chasing a leak i thought it was from the sleeper vent but after caulking and sealing the vent the water is still coming in on top. I have had it tarped but want to go through and check the sleeper lights, put new black stripping that is missing in the front outside sleeper area, etc.....I am also dealing with the leaking through my airconditioner on top of the rig. I just bought a new airconditioner seal and hope that once it is installed it will solve that problem....will see. I have a 1979, dodge 440, rear kitchen everything pretty much original one owner that had passed away and has all the american clipper newsletters (from years past)in a binder organized to access information including the original paper work for all accessories and appliances.
I have been living in my clipper on a lake in a resort in washington state so that tells you we get alot of rain here!!!
Thanks again any info is greatly appreciated.

THE RUBBER IS CALLED GLASS GLAZING BEAD. THE ORDER FORM IS A LITTLE HARD TO FIND. GO TO THE HOME PAGE AND THERE IS A LIST ON THE LEFT SIDE. TOWARDS THE BOTTOM CLICK ON FORMS AND YOU WILL SEE THE ORDER FORM.
GOOD LUCK
