WERE DOES THE VIN NUMBER APPEAR ON MY CLIPPER ITS S1769 IT SEEMS PRETTY SHORT PLEASE HELP!!!

I NEED HELP LOCATING MY VIN # ON MY AMERICAN CLIPPER ITS BEEN IMPOUNDED BY WHITTIER POLICE BECAUSE THEY THINK THE VIN NUMBERS HAVE BEEN SWITCHED SINCE THEY CANT MATCH TO THE VIN NUMBER ON THE DODGE CHASSIS PLEASE HELP!!!

I have a 1975 rear kitchen.  Just behind the rear step is a plate. Down at the bottom of the fiber galss.  It has the date of manufacture, GVWR, and the Serial Number.
My serial number is S-200
SOLD MY 1975     821F      360cc  ACOC #3645

THANKS IVE NEVER NOTICED IT BUT I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A DETECTIVE EARLY TOMORROW HE WANTS TO MATCH THE SERIAL # ON MY CLIPPER TO MY PAPERWORK SO I HOPE THAT PLATE IS STILL THERE WERE YOU SAID THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!U SAID ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CLIPPER BY THE REAR STEP EXIT DOOR RIGHT?
