Spent the better part of a day trying to replace the EGR valve, and subsequently pass the smog test.  Found a place in Rancho Cordova, "All Dodge Truck" ph 800 433 7667, that had two used EGR valves, I ordered one.   It appears there is no manufacturer of new valves.

I bought a new egr valve for my 440 from:
C & C Auto Parts & Machine Shop

Phoenix, AZ 85013
Phone 602-24808718
Part no. STD-EGV547
Price was 44.35
I beliveve they have more if anyone needs them.

I have been advised that you can buy EGR valves and related parts from:

OK, it looks like it was just time for the EGR valve on our 1977 Dodge 440 engine to go. The MOPAR number on the part was still legible 3698886 but the people at the Chrysler Dealership said that number had been changed to 4104059. After dealership visits, parts store visits and a long hike through Pick a Part, we found John Schoellhorn selling a similar EGR valve on ebay. John has over 18000 part numbers of "not in stock" MOPAR parts for mostly cars but plenty of truck stuff too. He had our EGR valve in stock for $45 plus $5 shipping. John tells us he will be glad to help out ACOC members who are searching for out of stock parts. He can access Chrysler's parts locator system to search down parts. John's email address is Barnhartap@aol.com or write him at 4301 Norcrest Drive Saint Louis Missouri 63129. I am embarassed that I didn't go directly to the ACOC Tech Forum. Your recent postings would have saved us a days adventure and the price of gas and admission fees to the auto salvage yards.
