I think that the sofa cushion on my 78 SK has been modified and made smaller. When it jacknifes open there is a gap of about 2 inches between the cushion and the rollover part. Could somebody measure their cushion and tell me how deep it is. Thanks  78 21' Sk -ACOC 3552

I'm too tired and lazy to go out and measure - sorry - but keep in mind many Clippers have been modified with nerw foam, etc. A measurement may not help at all.
You can solve the gap problem by moving the seat portion of the cushion out an inch or so - or make an adjustment to the rollover part.

The best fix is to adjust both just a bit - my bet is that will fix your problem.

Don't try to get too tight of a fit - as in completely closing that 2 inch gap - you have to have a bit of a gap (trust me here - been there done that)

I think somebody already cut off a piece to make it nicer and that is why it is narrower. The mechanism does not seem to have been moved at all and works fine. I would like to get the cushion back to the original depth if possible.

Hiyya K-9.... mine still has the orig upholstery, and I just checked it.  There's maybe a 1/2" gap.  However, the 3 screws holding the bracket to the plywood on the back, folding part were stripped out and the bracket was moved to hit good wood, so I'd assume maybe yours might have too.

Looks to me you could adjust your gap just by repositioning the bracked on the back.  Bettcha you'll find old, stripped holes inna plywood where the orig position was.

Good luck...
