This website's purpose is to share information with clipper owners and others who are interested in clippers or have old Dodge B300 chassis motorhomes.  In an attempt to share as much information as possible to as many people as possible PLEASE first post your questions in one of the forum boards rather than sending a PM to the webmaster or another member. This will allow other members to find information that may help solve their problem.  By PMing your questions, you decrease forum activity and create more work for active members who end up repeating information to individuals looking for the same information.  Thank you.

I bought a 78 American Clipper from an ad in the newspaer last month.
The owner gave me the vin number for the insurance company. Well I have it in the garage now trying to get a state inspection done on it and the mechanic says the vin number doesn't match the number the owner gave me.
Does anyone know where the vin number is located besides the door.
The mechanic says it could have been in an accident and this is a different vehicle.
I just hope we can get this straightened out so we can use the RV.

The vin # is the # on the chassis. There is no vin # on the motorhomes themselves. The chasses were built on dodge chasses, and Daimler-Chrysler can be called for verification as the numbers are too short for regular verfication. Try: customerassist@daimlerchrysler.com

Any idea where on the chassis? The mechanic still can't find it. Thanks. Nancy
