i have a 1977 440 with ac and the pully has started locking up.. i have called around and found out that you can repleace the pulley and clutch system on one but have no clue how to do it.. i would like to know would it be easier to put a whole new ac pump and pulley in or would it be orth my while to fix the pulley and clutch system on my ac unit?

The pulley clutch assembly removes easy. Unthread the center bolt, use a larger bolt that threads into a pre-threaded hole in the pulley. Tighten the bolt until the pulley pops off, unplug the wire. This is a quick answer so go ahead and ask more questions.
