ARGGG   HI all . so today i am wondering if the RV can be made into a swimming pool . JK>>> the AC unit is leaking between the roof and the ceiling . Tried to get the ac unit undone but the bolts and screws are so rusted they will not come off. So opened it from below. May i add i left it with a tarp on it over night and it flowed like the river on a bad rain day . And now back to the roof again . As you know wa is the rainy state so between cloud breaks and sun i'm trying to put a caulking seal between them both . My wife is less happy about the fact as her carpet is wet. ALL in November . I had a tarp on it last night but of course it leaked through it and filled a 5 gallon bucket. OH as i may mention it overflowed . Before it didn't leak this bad when the bottom of the ac unit was on .. Confused .  If the AC unit did not work i'd have it taken out . . hehehe it works perfect and so now i am trying to fix it so it doesn't leak .*** when in WA do you need a AC unit? Wife reminds me we have to PCS sometimes .That means the hotter states. Forget AC the gas bill is gonna kill me if i'm still alive for that trip  /  So besides the caulk any suggestions . ?  Every had that min. in life you ask yourself what in the world am i doing and why did i Evan dare to take this on ?  My wife say's it is a man personality .

No, "It is a Man Thing"   LOL

If you have the Ac off the try to put the caulking gun between the ac and the roof and squeeeeeeeez the crap out of that gun..
Then after you get the Ac back in place run a bead all around the thing...  Then if the air goes out take it to someone and let them
Have fun taking it off to put a new unit in..

:)  That is what I did  he he he LOL..  It took almost five ours

for the guys at Camping World to get it off...   I just told them I bought it that way.. :0  :)  It was the best 1,200 bucks I  spent..
Now, I can hang meat inside....   Good luck on your rig

John :)

Hi there

I found my roof air not leaking at the seal but the roof had just enough sag in it so it could pond water high enough to leak in above the seal in the A/C. I bought a sheet of blue closed cell building foam that was 1.5" thick. I made a square donut riser from it to keep my A/C above the water line.
Good luck with your leak, let us know how you make out.
