Trans lines

Jerry or Horst or Pd2 or anyone that can get on their back.....



Now that the engine and trans and drive shaft are "in"

I have the pleasure of installing the new trans lines.....

"Where in Gods green earth do they go!!!!!!!!?

Line 2 in back on side ----  Line 1 first  on side  where do they connect

I know the radiator ----Duhhhhh   --- Now I have a trans cooler and Like so many times

I haven't made a diagram and now I am stuck....  any help would be great....

sorry jon, headed to work tonight. but i dont think a trans cooler is directional. mine is just hooked up with a couple of hoses....maybe i hooked it up wrong? maybe i dont understand what u need to know...?

Hey John, Have you got that beast running YET!  What kind of trans cooler did you get? If I were you I would take the radiator out of the picture and just use the trans cooler. Why generate extra heat to the radiator. The front line on the trans is the preasure side. The back line is the return side. The trans cooler is nondirictional, but a good thing to do is put an inline oil filter like a single PH-8A screw on type coming off the preasure line an add a oil temp sending unit for a trans temp gauge. So it is just a big loop from front preasure line to rear return line. Goood Luck !  Hank Out!

Hank, You are god send!!!!   I wasn't sure what to do and it seemed as if

I couldn't find the answer..  So, do I cap off te trans line ports on the radiator...

I have a standard typ trans cooler that it came with so I will just use that.

But I will do as you say and get the presure hooked up w/ filter and a temp unit..

Thank you oh so much... It is very close to running I just taking my time to avoid misstakes.    John

  Hello Hank, I wanted to let you know that I bought an in line trans oil

  filter today   Company that puts it out is called ATP"

  Part # JX-160    and made in Australia....  Just some info for the book....

   I tried to find a temp unit like you told me to..  No one seems to know what I am tallking

   about....  do you have a part number or am I just looking for something that isn't there

   ...  Wouldn't be the first time...  LoL    John
