Can anyone tell me what this switch does?  The one on my Clipper has melted.  I'm in Florida.
Is there a way to by-pass it.  I'm having a running problem at low speed. Acts like no fuel
to the low speed end of the carb. Punch it to the
floor and the secondary opens and it takes off.
The engine will not accelerate from low speed or
idle.  Help!!!

I don't know what carb you have but if I were you in the place you're in, I'd try to find a carburator shop to talk to.  You may have to call someone on the mainland, but it would be worth your effort.  Be sure to describe the carb you are asking about.  Good luck!

Im not sure what switch your talking about but what I think it is is a fuel shut off switch that shuts off the fuel when the key is truned off to prevent diseling if this is it you have to have it working or the engine wont run except full power you should be able to get one at any carb shop or even kragens or napa
