On my way home from the purchase of my Clipper (1500 mile run from northern California to Saskatchewan Canada) I had a run in with a coyote.  It was a kicker because besides a small fuel leak I had a smooth trip.  It happened about 30 minutes from home.  I proceeded to take the RV to my mechanic and he was unable to fit it in his shop so he recomended me to another mechanic.  BAD IDEA!  This shop fiqured they'd have their way with me.  Being in the car business myself I was not having any of it.  They charged me $120 to remove the dog house and tighten a fuel line clamp.  They wanted another $700 to fix the rear transmission seal and the power steering pump I knocked out when I hit the coyote.  I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get a pump from and if anyone has replaced one of these on their clipper as well as the rear seal where the drive shaft meets up with the transmission.  Thanks and God bless.

Rodney

welcome
you should be able to get the pump at a any local parts store as a rebuild
the trans seal is not that big a deal to replace but you need to grab ahold of the yoke which slides or bolts to the trans and see that it's not to loose if it is you will need to replace the bushing in the tail shaft along with the seal or it will leak with just a seal replacement.
you didn't tell us what engine and trans combo you have? Chevy or Mopar?

I apologize,  I have a 1976 21' model with the 440.  I am unsure of the transmission...possibly the 727???  It would be great if someone knew and could tell me... Thanks for the help everyone.  I appreciate tremendously!

jason, you definetly have a 727 transmission in your clipper with a 440 engine. that was the only transmission issued to a 440.
