FoldnRoll Technical Information / New Converter Charger
Last post by Toedtoes - October 16, 2021, 11:26:21 AM
This past year, my converter blew.  Without it, the hydraulic roof won't move.

I though I'd share the replacement I got.  It was the exact size as the original and very easy to install.

FoldnRoll Tips and Tricks / Installing a Deck Hatch to the...
Last post by Toedtoes - October 16, 2021, 11:19:05 AM
Rather than having to remove the entire cover to check the propane levels or open/close the propane tanks, I installed two boat deck hatches on the top:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B017NA9H6W?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Now I just pop open a hatch.

P.S. I liked the style linked to because it has actual fingerloops to unscrew the hatch.  Other versions just have indentations for your fingers - which are more difficult if your fingers are stiff from the cold, arthritis, etc.  The fingerloop design is also easier if you're wearing gloves or working in the rain.

General Discussion / Forums are back online.

This message is as much a test as a notice. The forum software was too old and a server update rendered it broken.  I've updated the forum software and think I have the database reattached, so everything should be good for a while now.

Also just saying Hi as I don't get around here much these days. It's only been 16 years since I sold my Clipper lol. Though I do sometimes wonder where it is today... last I saw it, we delivered it to a nice lady in Chico. Hope everyone is doing well :)

Electrical Tips / Wall outlets not working when ...
Last post by Peaselbeast - May 19, 2021, 08:40:26 PM
OK so I'm not sure what is going on with the power center. It is original. Seems to work. The battery for engine is wired to the secondary batter for the coach.
Everything runs through the power center. Fuses look good. As I have power only batter only and charging battery when shore line 30AWG is plugged in to a 120 extension cord.

Perhaps this is where my issue is?:
I bought a 12 AWG 50ft extention cord, I run it from an outlet (120v) in my house to the shore line 30amp cord for the RV (have 30 amp to regular plug converter plugged into to couple the two.
My batter does charge. Powers the fridge and water pump and even the a/c unit as well as lights that are wired in. Yet my 120v wall outlets do not work...

Sooo I have attached a picture of what I think might be the issue (120v cord not connected to anything?) And I will add pictures of the batteries and wiring around the power center.

Just don't wanna mess up and fry the battery.. pretty confident you do NOT plug 120 directly into battery lol I know an inverter is required for that.
But any suggestions or even wiring diagram(s) would help a lot. Thinking if the disconnected 120v cord does register on my volt checker maybe it was originally set up for a inverter?
Just very confused. :o
Thank you.
