I just received my new tail light assemblies and they don't look like the old ones at all. They aren't as wide and are taller. I'm thinking i could use them but I am guessing I will be able to see the ghost of where the old ones were mounted. Has this been the experience for those of you who have replaced your old tail light assemblies?
I also ordered a set of lights and was under the impression that the new lights were exact duplicates, but like you found them to be to short to cover all three of the holes in the body work for wires. I was told to cover two of the holes with the new light, and the remaining hole with a round or square red reflector.

Here are the right ones. I bought a set last year and they fit perfectly..

Ruben, what year of clipper do you have ? My 79 chev takes a light that is about 21" long. The one's I bought from the club are just like the one's that you show in your link.
The longer tail light boxes (Reflet-o-light 1400 series) are no longer available, from the club of anywhere else that anyone has found. You can get the shorter ones from the earlier Clipper and use a reflector or cover of some sort on the inside and they will work OK. I've seen a few that were done carefully and looked fine. I'f seen a few that were slapped together, and they didn't look so fine.
Your only hope for the 1400 series suface mount boxes (I have found recessed mount boxes available) is a wrecking yard. They were used on other RV's besides Clippers. If you can find the white ones, they seem to hold their shape better, but do tend to yellow. But a little paint will fix that.
Terry and karen, my Clipper is a Dodge 1977.
Sorry, I did not know that was different lights for the Clippers.
Mine are 15" x 6"
Good luck finding your lights.
