Curious on the horse power our Dodge 440 have ? Thinking of going with an aftermarket fuel injection system, anyone done this or know someone that has ?

I was also thinking of converting to electronic fuel injection.  If you come across any manufactures with a kit for a 440 I would like to check it out.  Currently my Clipper is at Fort Irwin waiting for me to put her back together and my location Camp Udairi, Kuwait.

I'm not sure about this - but in California - smog regs may be an issue with trying to convert to fuel injection.
Better check it out before spending the time and money.

I installed Holly Projection on my 76 Clipper with a 360. I got a little more power and it starts up right away every time. Didn't gain any MPG  :(   I bought it through Jegs and installed it myself in a weekend.

www.allpar.com/forums had a thread talking about this a while back.
Under the Performance topic.    I remember They were talking $2500 for some conversion kit.

Have you noticed the general trend of people wanting to fix thier RV's
get out and head to the hills?

I have spent nearly every all the extra cash I have on my Clipper for the
last 11 months.    To include even stop smoking for quite some time....

New Rincon 360
New Holley 2bbl
3 new load range D tires ( just so they would tow it to the auto hobby shop )  Wanted E's but who has $220 a tire....
15 mile Towing bill
Fuel, oil, supplies
Hoses, belts
Fabricated engine craddle - to pull engine
EGR valve
Starting to scroung all the smog pump parts ( if I have to reinstall
it )

Probably over 2 weeks strait of all-day heavy task orientated work.
many loads of fuel soaked laundry
Blown out a 2 sets of brand new mechanics gloves......

Still don't know if the Shore power works.
Rear faucet is bad
Propane leaks if tank valve opened.
Inverter probably inop - smoked and lid found in compartment
Black water tank probably solidified

Brake lights inop
Turn signal cam inop
Trans fluid need serviced, brakes need bleed / changed
Rear axle fluid needs changed....
Wheel bearings packed.

In other words - I got took.

But I got to have a place to sleep.   If I can't walk right into a job.

Not to mention pay storage on my belongings.......
Ex-e-poo gets 32.3 % of my retirement check
$437 a year to keep Tri-Care for everyone
Try to get child support lowered commencerate to Wal-Mart pay....

Yeah.....

And they wonder why people go ROAD for thier last 6 months.

My only solice is; you know, just working on my RV.
I'll get it done.

But I bet you that On my trip to retirement, some DUMB idiot
crashes into me, the COPS tow my RV with all my belongings,
and I am homeless.

You don't want to know what my cardboard sign will say.

Now I have to go back to work.   My dufus CC just called
and wants a shipping estimate DoDACC to DoDACC for a pallet
of nasty expired junk Training NBC suits and boots.
Never mind that is all is supposed to go to one DoDACC and be
evaluated for possible re-use.
"Hear at crazy Dave's used Chem Gear, We WON'T be undersold!"

Anyway,

Keep up the Good Fight !

I'm sending out some of the solitude -  God Bless.
