I recently bought a 78 clipper model 821 SK-Fit with rear bathroom. I have not one manuel. I need coach and chassis manuels. Especially how everything is wired. I want to tow a boat with this coach but not sure as to it's capabilities. It seems to sit back over the rear tires. How can I check the rear suspension? And it seems to be sagging. There are rubber bags in the suspension, is this standard? Manuels would help a lot. Many thanks for any help.  (//images/smiles/icon_smile.gif)

We have the same unit as you so if you'll e-mail me your address I'll send you copies of the paperwork for the appliances, etc. in the coach.  My e-mail is gplante@westnut.com.  There are several places to order Dodge Chassis/Motorhome/Van manuals over the internet.  I don't know if the suspension bags were standard but it sounds like most have them.  I keep mine at about 60-65 pounds.  I also pull a boat.  I had a muffler/hitch shop install my hitch.  It is a long ways from the real axle to the hitch but a good shop should have no problem welding a hitch - it HAS to be custom made.  The biggest problem is the tongue weight - but the shop should be able to help you there also.

If you are going to tow you need to look at the weight and decide if the rear frame should be reinforced. We tow a horse trailer with two LARGE mules and have had no problem (we reinforced the frame). The air bags should have hoses to fittings along the bottom of the body by the rear wheels. See if you can find those and if airing up the air bags helps the sag. See the old newsletters for info on how to reinforce the frame for towing
