Have new to me 11980 clipper with Dodge 440 and a generator in the storage compartment, right side. When I got the rig smogged, they changed all of the hoses under the truck. SJounded good. However, I don't have fuel getting to the generator even though the van has an electric auxillary fuel pump, normally used to aid started after long periods of no sue.
I've heawrd rumors that the fuel feed to the generator will not allow the generator to use all the fuel to be used, in order to avoid having no fuel for the engine. IS THAT TRUE ?
If so how much fule must be in the tank to be able to feed the generator ? Any Ideas. I had at least 5 gallons today and got no fuel.

I'm not 100% sure, but....I think you'll need to add more fuel.
If you have a 50 gal tank (which you probably do) that means you're at 10% capacity.....I think
it quits feeding the genset before that.
Put 25 gallons in there and see what happens.....not good to let your gas tank sit that empty anyways.........condensation = rust
