Post by: StevH on September 24, 2010, 10:05:22 AM
I have a 1979 1 ton Chevy Clipper and the steering column needs to be replaced. Does anyone know what years will fit or any other details that might help me.

Hi Steve, for what I know frm a very good source....

You can go three years in either direction ---  So you can look for a 76--77-- 78

Or 80-- 81   ect ect..  That goes for just about everything mechanical....

Now I know you are in Ca!!!!  Look for a PICK UR PART....  They always have a guy that

Makes Keys in front of the place---  They also Rebuild steering colums..

At least the guy down here does!!!!!  He rebuilt my daughters collum  and hasn't had any problem with it....
