I should have taken the motor out this way the first time!!!
got the grill and Radiator -fan - alt -Power steer pump out
Found the altinator bolt had broken off in the head...
I discussed the option of no airconditioner with the wife and she agreed..? why???
this will bring in more air to the radiator..
removed the water pump and since I just used the one I had origionally
checked it out and it was going south" .. Well, I was hoping to get the darn thing out
today, but did see that in just removing the parts I no longer want..
I have a few air conditioner parts that are in great shape Lines and the dryer
is fairly new. If anyone wants or needs any of them just let me know. They are free"
'' Yes, I said FREE"" Just pay for the shiping and it is yours...
Will give updates on the New re-rebuild....Sigh.....
While I am at it I will be doing sone rewireing -- I have noticed that there are several
wires that are broken and cracked and hardened..
In just removing the air conditioner and the bracket will eleaviate a lot of heat
retention.. Plus at the time we have the motor out I will repaint the engine
compartment . And I did notice the idler Arm was Shot.. Wednesday when we do
remove the motor and send it back to the rebuilder we will indeed replace some of
these parts if not ALLLLLLLLLL....

Did you switch your heater core cover to one with out A/C or did you just use the same 1. I pulled the A/C stuff out and realized either i need to use the same cover or get 1 for a non A/C heater core...what did you do!!! I need my blower, says the wife. thanks
How doo dee Doooo,
Well, at this point I have just abandoned the
thing...."But I am going to check out the Bone yards here in Calif
and what I can come up with!!!!!
The air never did much anyway and I had a company here in O. C.
rebuild it at the tune of 700 bucks....... It wasn't any better and
the way I figure taking that 60 plus pouds of cast iron off the motor will in fact help keep her cooler.
I am told that there was a van put out with out an airconditioner.......I just hope I can find it......
What's your 20????
I here InSouther Calif. "Anaheim"

Hey there Danny Boy, ot a call from a Dan at Summit racing.............
He said that they have Nothing that He could find in way of a
replacemen pully system... "I think I am on to something though.
I measured the distance from the mounting bracket and it is
one inch.. I went to Home Depot and found a sleeve in plumbign and it is One inch
So, I will try and weld the thing on to the bracket at both ends and that will bring it to the distance that I beleive that I need.. I will let you know how it turns out..
