just purchased a 77 clipper, rear kitchen. i installed a new water pump and the cold pressure is great but the hot water pressure from all faucets and shower is very weak, is there any screens or filters on the water tank lines ? thanks for any help.
Hey there dreedy, I had the same problem with my Clipper. Never found any plugged screens. I was told by Camping World that the hot water side of the mess
is just that way.. So As it is we take showers at the camp grounds where we stay.
Plus we do boil water to help do the dishes. I know that this doesn't help but thought that you would like to know you're not in the boat alone!!!

We have equal pressure on both hot and cold, I would look for a partial restriction on the hot side. If your heater has an anode rod they will dissolve and leave chunks in the tank. I flush mine every year, they sell a tool for your hose to rinse it out. A chunk may have been drawn into your plumbing. Also look for a kinked or damaged line.

Mine has same pressure on both hot and cold.
You might also look for a shut off valve going to hot water tank, if there is a shut off valve it could be only partially on.
The water system is a Series circut. The main water line runs to the hot water tank and
the hot water side of tank goes to all hot water faucets and ends at the shower connection.

after you installed the new pump, would the pump shut off when it got up to pressure ?
If you turn the cold water off, does the hot water pressure increase ?
I'm not sure about JerryTs plumbing, but mine has a 1/2" ID PEX main water line and from the main water line to the faucets the lines are 1/4" ID. the reason the faucets are 1/4" ID instead of 1/2" ID is so the pressure will remain at max pressure to all the faucets no matter how many faucets I turn on.
If it were me I'd check the pressure into and out of the hot water tank, if there is less pressure coming out the hot side of the tank I'd back flush the water heater.
