Title: Dometic RM66E refridgerator gaskets?
Post by: jack on July 23, 2002, 09:24:00 PM
Hello all,

I am looking for door and freezer door gaskets for my '78 Clipper.
My RM66E is still working perfect and it deserves a little attention, does anyone have a recent source for these?

Thanks.

Most any RV parts supply shop can order them for you.  I had them shipped overnight from Los Angeles.  They are not cheap. There are thousands of those refers out there.

Our '77 Clipper, when purchased had a bad seal on the freezer compartment door, and we looked for sometime before finding an appliance dealer who could order one at a high cost. Not able to wait or wanting to pay such a high cost, we went to a hardware store and found in the plain old weather stripping aisle a seal that has worked for us for over 3 years with no problem. It is made by Dennis, and is called V-shaped Polypropylene weather strip. 7/8"wide. We popped the door apart and took the old seal out, then cut strips to length. It's self-adhesive, so just press into place, cutting corners to a 45 degree angle,to fit into place. We have not had any problem with keeping ice or frozen foods frozen. Thought this might help someone out.     Timothy ACOC#3048  (//images/smiles/icon_wink.gif)
