Title: Harris State Beach Park, Oregon
Post by: Horst on June 28, 2002, 11:53:00 AM
Simply one of the best State parks, and one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed in.
Clean, inexpensive, near the beach, which is beautiful, and great sites.
Some sites are a bit too close to 101, so stay away from Area A.
20 miles or so north of the California border, in Brookings, Oregon.
We stayed there a week, and will be going back again soon.

I have to agree about Horst's opinion of Harris Beach State Park.  Seemed to have fairly private sites and woodsy atmosphere.  The Coastal scene in Southern Oregon is amazing...gotta love the Oregon State Parks in general-especially if hook-ups are needed!!

Let's call this one unanimous!  This one we have not yet been camping at the campgrounds, we have been through the park and checked it out and it's certainly on our list!  Here are some pics of the beach at Brookings...
