ours has dropped from 2.99 (last week) to 2.54 (yesterday), maybe even lower (haven't looked yet this a.m.).

Nice to be able to fill up the Ranger without crying!

$2.39 for regular at ARCO.  Yesterdays price.  Cheapest prices are at stations that have the convience stores and good locations.

My wife drives a Suburban and it hurts to fill it up at 2.99/gallon. The pumps use to cut off at $50 before the spike in gas prices. Now they cut off at $75. Any worse I figured they would have loan application at the pump for a fill up.

I hope the price continue to drop. Two dollars would be nice but I think it will never get that low again.

I paid 2.23 just now. Funny how congressional hearing and record earnings for oil companies is bringing down the price of gas! Hmmmmmmmm!

Title: GA$$$ taxes
Post by: Conrad on November 14, 2005, 08:49:47 PM
today around $2.37.

We have $0.39 of tax on each and every gallon of gas.  what do other states have for tax on their gas?

The fools in King county tipped the recent gas tax repeal initiative in to the fail margin.  So now we will have more taxes.  Them Seattle/King County folks love to tax themselves and others.

That's true but there is dye in the fuel to differencate between ag gas and pump gas and at least around these parts it's a pretty stiff fine if {when} you get caught.
I was just talking with a long time farmer who let his farm gas tanks empty and now buys his fuel like the rest of us, his reasons were those tanks on his place are like targets to the thief's and he has got ripped off one to many times he said it wasn't worth it. He also has to take extra care with his tractors and trucks in the fields when he isn't using them. He was spraying weeds and left the equipment in the field for the night to find the next morning some jerks cut the hoses off his spray equipment for siphon hoses dumped out hundred dollars of weed killer for containers for the fuel they ripped. he said it cost him more that a grand by the time he was able to get back to spraying. That really burns my bacon hearing that. the farmers at least around here are loosing $$ every day and one reason is the cost of fuel.

btw noticed the price at Safeway is down to 2.37 this weekend.
Happy holidays all
