This website's purpose is to share information with clipper owners and others who are interested in clippers or have old Dodge B300 chassis motorhomes.  In an attempt to share as much information as possible to as many people as possible PLEASE first post your questions in one of the forum boards rather than sending a PM to the webmaster or another member. This will allow other members to find information that may help solve their problem.  By PMing your questions, you decrease forum activity and create more work for active members who end up repeating information to individuals looking for the same information.  Thank you.

We are considering adding a generator to our Clipper. We have a 21ft., 1978 Dodge 440 with a rear kitchen. Any suggestions as to type and size?
Thank You,Larry & Alida

I put one in my Clipper.  I did some homework, then bought an Onan MicroQuiet 4000.  It works great, and fit nearly perfect.  I have a few pictures of the install on my personal page - http://racenut.com/clipper Use the "Work In Progress" button on the menu.

The best deal I found on the Onan was from a company called Colorado Standby http://www.coloradostandby.com  It was around $2200 delivered to my door.

Last year we used it to run the roof air for 3 hours from Sacramento to Santa Nella in 103F heat. I'm thinking that trip alone was worth the the price we paid.
