Just A Tech Note On Dodge Wiper Motor,

After Doing A Maintenance Check Of My 1977 Dodge Clipper 440 CI Rear Kitchen RV, Before May Rally Trip.
I Was Checking, Tires, Horn, Head Lights,  Running Lights, Turn Signals, Brake & Hazard Warning Lights, & Wiper Motor & Washer.

I Found Windshield Wipers Not Working, Checked 12Vdc Power At Two Speed Switch Okay, Check Power At Wiper Motor Okay, Checked Power At Each Side Of Resister & Also Okay. :-[ I Have A Few Months Ago I Bought A Spare Off E-Bay To Keep Due To The 40+ Age Of Clipper Was A Good Idea, Needed It. So First I Took Wirings Off Old Motor & Put On The One I Bought Off E-Bay, Worked Great Both Speeds. ;)

This Is A Short Note On How To Replace:
1.) Disconnect Battery Neg. Terminal.
2.) Remove Wipers & Arms, Note Pull Out Small Tab @ Bottom Of Arm & Lift Up To Remove & Remove Washer Fluid Tube.
3.) Remove Cowling & Cowling Sheet Metal Screws, Then Remove Up Pass Hood Arms, Set To Side, Remove Long Wiper Arm, Caution With Teflon Bushing From Top Of Motor.
4.) Remove 3ea. 5/16" Bolts, It Make It Easier To Use 1/2" x 3/8" Wobble Socket With Small Extension.
5.) After Wiper Motor Removal When You Re-Install Motor, Use Silicone Sealer Around Top Of Motor To Cowling To Seal From Rain & Washing Clipper.
6.) Torque Bolts 3ea To 95 Inch Lbs. Hook Up Wires To Motor & Resister,  Install Wiper Long Connecting Arm Link Make Sure Teflon Bushing Is Seated In Top Of Motor Arm Eccentric.
7.) Re-Install Cowing & Wiper Arms, Note: Passenger Wiper Arm Install 2 1/4" From Top Of Windshield Rubber, Then Driver Wiper Arm 1 3/4"  From Top Of Windshield Rubber.
8.) Test Operation On Each Wiper Speeds, Also Push Wiper Switch To Spray Washer Fluid On Window.

Hope This Helps, If You Need Ant More Info Feel Free To PM Me.

Happy Camping,
Joe
