As Clipper owners and fans, Vans are likely near to yer hearts. Check out the "old Photos" thread for true inspiration!

I am working an angle to wedge an American Clipper Pic in to this forum....Shouldn't 8) be hard

Hi PD
Thanks for the vanner link, it made me remember we camped at a van-in in Acton Ontario in August 2000 with my 1964 Dodge custom camper. We had such a good time and the people and vans were great. It was put on by a local van club called the High Flying Hammered Vanners :D I think they claimed to be 2%ers but they were not. We still talk about our trip. I altered a 61-71 series Dodge Pickup into a panel/screen side truck of my own design for camping. It was close enough to a van that they let us be part of the group. They even gave me an award for my truck/panel/van giving me the title of BEST WHATEVER  It's a home made plaque, complete with a Canadian beer bottle cap (which was drunk at the rally) and a popsicle stick (also consumed) and local lumber (with bark) which made the experience even better. I was shooting 35mm back then so I will have to dig out the pics, words can not relay the work and effort put into some of these vans, it is truly humbling. By all means go to a van-in before these gorgeous machines and their owners vanish into time.
Here are pics from the Tin Can Tourists web site of my 64 from the 2009 fall outing and a pic of my special award from the nicest people I have ever camped with.
