Title: Installing a Deck Hatch to the battery/propane cover
Post by: Toedtoes on October 16, 2021, 11:19:05 AM
Rather than having to remove the entire cover to check the propane levels or open/close the propane tanks, I installed two boat deck hatches on the top:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B017NA9H6W?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B017NA9H6W?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title)

Now I just pop open a hatch.

P.S. I liked the style linked to because it has actual fingerloops to unscrew the hatch.  Other versions just have indentations for your fingers - which are more difficult if your fingers are stiff from the cold, arthritis, etc.  The fingerloop design is also easier if you're wearing gloves or working in the rain.
