Title: A better starter
Post by: Tyler Hoodenpyle on December 04, 2003, 02:31:00 PM
If it hasn't already been posted...if a replacement starter is needed or you still need to stock your rig with a back up consider a smaller lighter Nipendenso starter.  All newer Dodge trucks come with these and I had to use one in my Dodge Challenger w/440 and 1 7/8" tube headers.  The header heat was no longer an issue for the starter and the room saved was a plus!  They weigh about half as stock and crank with twice the torque!  I ordered one for my 95 Dodge Dakota pick up and bolts right in. Remanufactured is the way to go for under $90.00 as compared to some race brand.
