What about the water heating tank.  How do you

drain it? This is a newly purchased 1979 440 rv. We have not taken our first trip yet.  We plan to leave first of Jan. and tour fla.  including the Keys. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Calvin.

Assuming your '79 is the same as my '76, there's a removable plug at the bottom of the tank (mine has a hose bib in it).  There have been quite a few posts on winterizing, so you should be able to find anything you need.

Good luck, and when you hit S. Fla, look me up...

Best regards,
Andy

Calvin- Winterizing your Clipper[Draining hot water tank and pipes}. Under your Clipper just inside of the step. You should find two drain cocks. These are at the lowest point of your unit, ;[ Assuming your rig is setting on a level seurface].opening these will drain the water from the system.Don't forget to close them before you take off on a trip     Bob Chaney
