Title: Please link to discussion or reworking black and grey tanks
Post by: pdxpfeifer on April 19, 2016, 07:06:09 AM
Hi everyone. Where's that post with pictures for the guy who reworked his black and grey tanks so he could empty them seperate? It has pictures.

Or a post on how to bring the grey tank valve forward? I read there's a kit, but I had already bought my replacement valves. Our grey one won't lock down solid.

Thanks
Robyn

I'll try to do a search later tonight. I had mine done at a local shop. They just cut the pipe right behind where the original black tank valve was located to just behind the grey tank valve. That removed the old black tank valve, but kept the grey tank valve (it is located at the edge of the clipper).

Then they ran new pipes so that the black tank valve sits on the opposite side of the drain, but at the same edge level as the grey valve.

It cost around $150 if I remember correctly - most of that was labor. Definitely worth it. No more laying on the ground trying to open/close the black tank valve.
