Title: Cabinet scratches
Post by: retrorob on January 28, 2011, 02:35:06 PM
This trick worked way beyond my expectations. I had cabinet scratches for the original owner. Because the underlying wood on the cabinets a a very light wood they stood out like a sore thumb. I got a brown dry erase board pen(Expo brand). Simply draw the pen over the scratch, wipe off the exess from the original finish. The brown color in the pen is a exact mach to the original finish. The scratch totaly disappears!

simply AWESOME!
going to staples to get a pen tomorrow
I've tried other tricks that haven't worked all that well - this sounds slick and easy!

Just read this to my wife, she's checking to see if we have one with her dry erase board pens.  If not, we're going to Office Depot in the morning.

THANKS!!

Let me know if this worked as well for you as it did for me!

Works good - lets you make "mistakes" too - I put it on too hard (too dark) on a couple spots - buffed out immediately with a rag -perfect!

I agree, it worked out great!  AND it's very forgiving....
