Just picked up a 1980 Clipper..only thing that dosn't work is the fresh water sender. Anyone know where I could get a replacement? There are 2 rods with a couple resistors and springs in them...

YOU MIGHT TRY WHAT I DID AND IT WORKS. THE SPRINGS ORIGINALLY WERE ON A SMALL PROTRUSION ON THE INSIDE OF THE TUBE. CLEAN THEM REAL GOOD IN C L R, AND THEN GENTLY STRETCH THE SPRINGS TO THE BOTTOM OF THE TUBE. YOU WILL HAVE TO CALIBRATE, BY FILLING TANK AND WATCH THE LEVEL OF WATER AND THEN RECALIBRATE A COUPLE OF TIMES, BUT IT WILL WORK IF YOU HAVE THE PATIENCE. (BE CAREFUL, THE SPRINGS WILL COME OFF THE STUD AND THEN YOUR BACK TO SOUTHERN ENGINERRING, BUT IT CAN BE DONE)
