Hi All,

I have a bad thermostat and would like to replace it with a programmable digital one like I have at home.

My question is this. Is there 12-volt thermostat or does the household variety sufficient.

Let me know!

I'm curious also. I'd like to go with the digatal thingie...

My home unit is a LUX.  I like it cuz it gives me 7 day control and two on-off cycles per day.  Suits me fine.  It takes three AA batteries and holds the stored program for a short time if you have to change them out.  I just did mine the other day after the low batt indicator came on.

I don't see why you couldn't use one like that.  The furnace in our clippers only require a contact closure to run.  Same as my home furnace.

the digital thermostat in my home is powered by a transformer in the heater. the batteries in the thermostat are only for backup power in case of a power failure.
i doubt this would work well in a clipper with no power supplying the thermostat on the long run.
anybody with input, i am interested also.
