I would have thought this information would have been easily found on a site like this, but I am not having any luck.  Here goes...  I am trying to get my 21' 1977 American Clipper insured.  I figured the insurance company would know what to do with it being a class "C".  I am told that American Clipper Vins do not pull up in the system and they are wanting to know the gross and curb weights.  I have found unverified claims of 7200-7700 and 9200-10,500.  Big differences here, especially based off of here say.  Yeah, I could probably estimate it myself but these figures have to be already known.  I can't be the only one to have had this issue.  Guessing could have me paying to much or not having the proper coverage- big deal.

I am posting here because I was unable to post in general discussion as this is posted:

"In an effort to prevent a mishmash of posts in one board that makes it difficult to find information on a specific topic, I have closed this board to new posts and replies. I am slowly moving old topics into more appropriate boards, but for the meantime, you can still search and read posts on this board."

I am having a hard time finding the "more appropriate boards".

I haven't seen anything on insurance requiring weights before.  Usually all they need is the purchase price or the original value.

Per the spec information we have, the dry weight for the 21ft is 7210lbs.

Per my door panel label (1975 B300 360 2bbl), the max GVW is 9000lbs.

See if you have a door panel label on your driver door or door frame.  That info should be the most accurate.
