I have a 1979 Clipper, rear kitchen with a leaky sink faucet. Is there a cartridge or a rebuild kit available?
OR
Is there a recommendation on a whole new faucet assembly?
If parts are available, I would like to stick with original equipment. Purist value!!
We have had this thing for 25 years, garaged and in really nice shape.
Chevy chasis, 400 engine.

Many thanks,
Steve
Will send pic if necessary

Hi Steve,
Welcome To ACOC Forum.
If You Were A Member You Can Acess The Data & Photos Of Retro
Fixes That Other Clipper Owners Have Done To Replace There Faucets.
You Have To Be A Member To Get Parts.
I Think The Original Faucet Uses O- Rings.
You May Be Able To Get These at A Local Hardware Store. :)
I Have A 1977 Dodge Rear Kitchen & I Installed A Moen Pull Out Sprayer.
You Have To Cut Hole Out To Install A New Faucet To,
1-1/8" ID. Hole, Also If You Can Send A 300 Dpi Photo Of Your
Faucet I Can See, I Have Kept OEM Faucet & Have It In My Garage.

Hope This Helps,
Joe

Hi Joe,
Thanks for your reply regarding my kitchen faucet.
Here are a couple of pics on what I have.
If parts are available through the club, that would be of interest to me. Joining up might be the option. I was a member about 20 years ago, but had to many other commitments.
Let me know what you think on this, or if you have a recommendation on a complete replacement. I really am not stuck on the OEM.
Many thanks,
Steve
Let me know that the pics came through. If not, I can send in an email

Joe,
On the cartridge, there isn't O rings. It's a pair of rubber sort of "ears" that stick out from the sides.. I would bet that is the seal.
Haven't figured how to disassemble  it without possibly screwing it up further.
I can send you a very close up pic of the cart.
Where is the rally this weekend?

Many thanks for your help,
Steve H

Hi Joe,
Did you have any luck over the weekend with the faucet cartridge ID?
At this point, I would even replace the whole thing as time is getting short. I have a trip coming June 15th.

Hi Steve,
Just Got Back, Rally Was Great This Weekend.
The Supply Office Was Not At This Rally.
1.) Do You Have An Ace Hardware In Your Area?
You May Bring To Try & Match Up.
Parts Are No Longer Available For Those Faucets.
2.) Most Clippers At Rally Have Early Model With Out Cartridges, Just O-Rings Style.

3.)If You Replace Faucet, Like From Lowe's Or The Home Depot Stores,
You Have To Recut Hole To 1 1/8" ID Hole For Newer Faucets & Pull Out Sprayers, Also Make Sure You Use Name Brand Faucets. I.e. Moen, Delta, Price Pfisher.

Sorry I Do Not Have A Replacement Part #.
Joe

Ps, Make Sure Your Water Supply Lines Are Tight..

Thanks for checking Joe.
I have an 1 1/8 hole punch so I can get that done if necessary.
The thing I see under my faucet assembly is just one round hole. Hoping I can find something to match closely.
My ACE hardware didn't have any matches to the OEM.

Steve,
You Delete The Plate From New Faucet,
& Mount As Single Hole, Like They Do For
Granite Counter Tops.
My Replacement Was A Little Low, But You Can Find A Moen
With A Tall Goose Neck/with Spray Unit.
Maybe Toedtoes, Can Send A Photo Of Hers? ???

Good Luck,
Joe
