Has anyone here thought about going to a 19.5" wheel/tire setup?  I found a company that supplies such things for 3/4 and 1 ton trucks...

Was wondering if anyone here thought it would be worth it or not.  Seems you have more options for very HD tires going this route.

Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?

I don't think 19.5 will fit under our Clippers, I know guys refit them to one ton pickup trucks, check the size out and let us know.

Things I don't know though...being a not Clipper owner yet...is it a standard Dana 60 rear end under there?  What kind of wheel space do you have to work with, etc?  It would be really cool to be able to get'rdone...

To run 19.5 rims, you'd have to run some pretty low profile rubber.  I don't doubt you could find some silly looking 40 series tires for them, but it sure would ride bad.

Well heck...if you guys are running 225/75/16s, seems to me a 225/70/19.5 is about 2.5" taller.

That is my source for this stuff...guess it depends on what wheel/tire combo came from factory, as well as what the bolt pattern is of the motor homes.  Are they standard Mopar 4.5x5 B-body axle bolt patterns?

Well heck...looks like a new product by them!!!  Maybe this is a way to go as well for anyone looking for a heavy duty commercial grade tire!

I was running 8.75 LT tires on the 16.5 rims.  I think they were about 75 series.  They would rub when making sharp turns.  There isn't room for 19.5s under the front fenders.

Not to mention that you'll change your steering geometry as well as throw your speedometer off.  There are plenty of options out there still for the 16.5" wheel size!
