so i was looking & saw i can put a switch to jump my house battery for the engine battery. well have anyone here done that ?, if so what type of switch do i ues ?,. i had a friend of my did a set on my 2 other rv's,. but he pass away,.
I did it with mine.
First, I added one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RS4YOM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RS4YOM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) at each end (by each battery) to prevent one battery from blowing the other.
This was the switch I used: [url]https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BW0Y7G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1[url] - but if you can find one with an LED indicator you'll save some time. I had to add an indicator light for when the switch is on (and the house battery is being pulled by the engine) so it doesn't get left in that position and drain the house battery.
And I used this solenoid: [url]https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BGTL9GI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1[url]
I upgraded the wiring to 10 gauge wire (the old wiring was too small to hold the load safely).
I was going to put a delay on it, but decided it didn't need it.
It works great and the power boost is noticeable.
thanks, i got done with it,. not that hard to me,.
