If anyone ever decides to use one of the small solar battery trickle chargers make sure you get one with a diode installed. I hooked up one of the small 2.5 watt (VW) panels via the cig. lighter in my Clipper, left it hooked up all the time for about two weeks and my batteries were stone dead.  I went over to Radio Shack and bought a diode, installed and no more problem.
