Does anybody have any old brochures that show the interior colors and designs available by year?
I have seen a wide variety in colors and wood grains but haven't figured out the pattern yet.
We are considering a Clipper again and wondering if there is a year we would prefer.

I wouldn't worry about that. Many folks have, over the years, redone the interior.
Generally, the earlier years had all wood paneling in a golden oak shade.
Later years varied that with some wallpaper (orange small floral patterns usually), and a burlap type insert on the cabinet doors.
The carpet was usually an orange mottled shag. The upholstery and shades were an orange, blue, green, and beige plaid herculon fabric - that fabric is pretty much deteriorated to the point of turning to dust in your hands.
Most folks have re-upholstered, replaced shades with curtains or day/night shades; replaced original carpet with new neutral carpet or vinyl/laminate flooring; and some have painted the paneling and cabinetry.
The main differences between years are as follows:
1. 1976 and earlier were all dodge chassis with the 360 2bbl engine or the 440 4bbl engine (75 and earlier more often came with the 360).
2. 1978 and later might have had a Chevy chassis due to shortages of Dodge chassis.
3. 1977 and later were usually the 440 4bbl (or Chevy equivalent).
4. 1976 and earlier only came in the 21ft version - with either rear or side kitchen.
5. Later models brought the rare 24 ft version and the bunkhouse.
6. In California, 1975 and earlier are smog exempt.
7. All models offered an L shaped dinette or a standard dinette; and a couch or two chairs and table. You could find any combination of these with the side or rear kitchen.
If the large outside storage door has vents in it, there was a generator included. No vents in the door, it never had a generator.
Other than that, most were built exactly the same. However, there have been so many potential changes done by owners, that you might find a standard dinette/two chair/rear bath model turned into a couch/couch/no kitchen model...
