Title: Hitch In Front Of Clipper
Post by: Clipper Joe on February 27, 2015, 07:48:54 PM
Hi All Clipper Owners,

Just Wanted To Share A Small Hitch 2" Receiver I Added To My 1977 Dodge Clipper.

Since I Like To Fish, Sometimes Some Of The Boat Ramps Are Hard, To Back Down Due To Low Water Conditions.

I Have Added This Hitch So I Can Hook Up My Boat Trailer To The Front & Drive It Right Down Front First Into The Water.
It Is A lot Easier, Even For One Person.

You Can Also Add A Bike Rack Holder To Carry Extra Bikes Also.

I Have The Plans On How To Fab This Upgrade, Feel Free To PM Me, If You Would Like Any More Info & Thanks For Reading Post.
I Will Attach A Photo Of This.

Take Care & Happy Camping,
Joe

Sweet.
I don't imagine backing with a trailer is all that easy when you can't even see what your towing!!
Nice trick for parking in a tight spot I'm sure.
One question...once you've launched the vessel...do back your way up the ramp !?!?!😎
Just razzing you Joe, you don't need to answer that!

Hi Steve,
Some Of The Long Narrow Ramps Post The Problem.
You Know I Have A Side & Rear Cameras, So I Can See.
It Is A lot Easier, To Drive The Trailer Down, Then Back Out.

But When You Have A 440 Dodge, You Can Just Drive Into Lake & Turn Around, If You Want.

(** I Don't **) But If A Clipper Can Fly Who
Knows What May Happen :o :o
